SUSPECT - 2012 Nomination for AALAS Literary Award

I had never read an anthology of any kind before reading SUSPECT: A CONFESSIONAL ANTHOLOGY and wasn't quite sure what to expect. 

I can tell you this book has taken me on an exhausting journey where each and every emotion was touched and awakened. I literally cried for some of the characters, and harbored hatred for others. I even, at times, wanted to scream out warnings to a few. Dwelling on our sins can eat us alive. The memories will consume our lives if we allow them to, and sometimes they can destroy us. 

The Trinity Church in Portsborough, New York, is the chosen place for those searching for peace at Christmas. They come with their burdens of rape, child abandonment, prostitution, murder and vengeance. Some come looking to confess their sins, and others come seeking redemption, and forgiveness. And then there are those that come to make peace the only way they see fit...through revenge. 

I love SUSPECT: A CONFESSIONAL ANTHOLOGY because there is a bit of every one of us in the stories. Something we all can identify with. The authors involved in writing the anthology are serious story tellers, with a keen sense of human tragedy, commitment, redemption, and forgiveness. Be sure to pick up your copy soon.
